In mathematics, a Venn diagram uses overlapping circles or other shapes to illustrate the logical relationships between two or more sets of items.

As the name suggests, Venn is the coming together of an idea. A purpose. And a need. While the Indian market is flooded with clothing brands, women still struggle to find good quality and well fitting clothes that cater to their evolving preferences and lifestyle. And while clothing is an integral part of our living, most of us  are unaware of the detrimental effects of the fashion industry on the environment. Fashion is also blamed for unethical practices with the production workforce including the sweatshop culture, less than minimum wages and inhumane working conditions.

The coming together of these ideas gave birth to Venn. A sustainable fashion brand that offers the latest fashion and style, adapted to suit the evolving Indian woman's preferences. Our vision is to make the brand scale and available to many, and in turn make sustainable fashion mainstream.

With this idea, the three tenets of our brand become People, Product and Planet.

Enhanced Products

We spoke to over a hundred women to understand their challenges and needs while buying clothes. Some of the most common problems included size and fit, fabric quality, practicality and comfort, wearability, long closet life and lack of versatility. At Venn, our sizes are based on the Indian body size and shape. We use high quality fabrics as well hardware such as zips, buttons, and other trims. Our fabrics are constructed with details like elastic on the sides of trousers, lining on shirts etc which make the garments practical. We strive to create designs and styles that are timeless and versatile to suit various occasions.

Protecting the Planet

Did you know that Fashion is the second most polluting industry in the world? Take a moment and let that sink in. Dyeing of fabric is one of the biggest contributors of water pollution and the manufacturing of synthetic fabrics releases a huge amount of greenhouse gases. At Venn, we want to create a future for fashion that is sustainable. We only use sustainable fabrics like Organic Cotton, Tencel, Bamboo Fabric etc. Dyeing is purely with azo-free and natural dyes which are free of carcinogens and harmful chemicals.

Enriching People

At Venn, we believe in and practice fair trade, which means that people employed with us are paid fairly, treated with dignity, equality and utmost fairness. We strive to work with partners who are fair trade certified. Currently 90% of our partners are certified and our endeavor is to reach a supply chain that is 100% Fair Trade certified.
